Last week, reports began trickling in, telling of sporadic 4G connections in downtown areas of Louisville. Rumor had it Sprint was trying to get 4G completed in time for this year’s Derby celebration, and it appears they’re on track for just that!
Today, I turned on the 4G radio on my HTC EVO, and much to my delight, I connected to Sprint’s 4G network (though the signal is rather weak, depending on where I am standing).
The results of a speed test were quite impressive, as my usual 3G connection usually nets somewhere in the .61 download speed and .32 upload speed.
Finally, justification for nearly a year of paying an additional $10/mo for 4G! Now we just need to see a stronger signal, and in more areas of the city! Coming soon, I am sure…
